AMC’s ‘Preacher’ Has Come to Save You With New Trailer and Photos
Preacher time is nearly upon us, and the sinners at AMC aren’t about to let us forget it. Not only does the Seth Rogen-Evan Golberg-adapted series have another brand-new trailer for the May premiere, but also some trouble with the law in a new round of photos.
Where previous photos showed off the whole cast in key art, the latest Preacher look from AMC give a closer glance at Sheriff Root (W. Earl Brown), DeBlanc (Anatol Yusef) and Fiore (Derek Wilson). In addition to the below photos, have some brand-new footage from the trailer:
“Preacher” is a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer, who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy come together and when they do, they are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
The original Preacher had itself been optioned for various adaptations many times over the years, while AMC’s incarnation will deviate from the comic in certain respects. Sam Catlin (Breaking Bad) will serve as executive producer and showrunner for the new series, while fellow producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg directed the pilot episode, having written the script with Catlin.
