Andrew MacLean’s ‘Head Lopper’ Is Coming To Image
Good news for fans of lopping who aren't so much into seeing heads remain attached to their bodies: After a few years of making the rounds as one of the best comics you could pick up at cons across the country, Andrew MacLean's awesome Head Lopper, with colors by Mike Spicer, is coming to Image as a four-issue miniseries.
If you've already read it, you know this is pretty great news, and if you haven't, well, Head Lopper is the story of a massive sword-swinging barbarian who fights monsters with the help of his partner, the severed head of a witch that he previously battled. It's as awesome as it sounds, but if you need more of an incentive to check it out, consider that the first issue is clicking in at a full eighty pages for six bucks.
Just what that eighty pages contains remains to be seen. The existing two issues have just over 90 pages between them, but since they were rounded out with pinups from a roster of artists that included Mike Mignola, Image's #1 might just have the story. Either way, it's worth it. Here's the official solicitation:
