'Vixen' Makes 'Arrow' Debut in First 'Taken' Trailer

Just as last night’s Flash brought us a look at King Shark’s return, so too did tonight’s Arrow bring our first footage of a live-action Vixen! Megalyn Echikunwoke reprises her role as the DC superheroine in the first “Taken” trailer, bringing the might of the animal kingdom along with her.

Following Wednesday’s “Code of Silence,” The CW released the first official promo for the animated CW Seed character’s live-action debut, called into action to battle Damien Darhk and rescue Oliver’s son. So reads the full “Taken” synopsis:

VIXEN JOINS TEAM ARROW
Oliver (Stephen Amell) realizes he needs help battling Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) so he calls in an old friend – Vixen (guest star Megalyn E.K.). Using her magical ability to summon animal powers, Vixen gets a lock on Darhk’s location and the team goes to war. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) has a heart-to-heart talk with Malcolm (John Barrowman).

The animated incarnation has also been renewed for a second season later this year, but stay tuned for more on tonight’s Arrow, along with Vixen’s official debut next week!
