You've heard of the kids (of all ages) who camp overnight on the sidewalks outside and around the San Diego Convention center so they can be sure to gain entry to biggest Comic-Con panel presentations for fan-favorite films like Twilight. These people, who basically construct their own Depression-era shantytowns with tents, cots and basically everything except a real campfire, are typically mocked and I did personally witness a group of them go into defense mode when a drunken geek tried to engage them around 1 a.m. last night. But the more I see these encampments year after year, the more I'm convinced these kids are just having the time of their lives.

I mean, just look at this sign we discovered last night at the head of the line for the Legend of Korra presentation this morning.

How cool is that? Also, there are official Twitter accounts for the Ballroom 20 line and the line for Hall H. They have very amusing feeds and bios -- "I am the longest, nerdiest, most demoralizing line at any convention ever made and that's just how you like it. Come get in me" -- that seem to suggest a rivalry. Definitely going to keep track of this in case s--- starts getting real....
