Choose Your Side In Bendis & Marquez’s ‘Civil War II’ #1 [Preview]
Civil War II is coming to the Marvel Universe this summer, and it's going to pit brother against brother, sister against sister, and very rich man in a suit of armor against Air Force pilot with alien powers. We've got a first look at Civil War II #1 by Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez, out this June from Marvel Comics.
Civil War II #1 is actually the third part of Civil War II, preceded by the Free Comic Book Day issue and Civil War II #0, so it looks like things have gone to heck by the time we get to June. What we know so far is there is an Inhuman with the power to predict the future, and some people want to use this Inhuman's power to stop crime and disasters before they happen, while others see that as an abuse of power. Oh, and someone dies.
We also know that the pro-"predictive justice" team is led by Captain Marvel and includes Spider-Man, She-Hulk and Captain America (Steve Rogers). Iron Man leads the side against predictive justice, backed by Thor, Deadpool and Captain America (Sam Wilson), among others. Some of the alignments seem a bit off just from the promotional material, so it'll be interesting to see how the lines are drawn come June.
