This Sunday's episode of Marvel's Avengers: Ultron Revolution introduces the Black Panther to the show for the first time, and ComicsAlliance has an exclusive clip showing the Wakandan superhero and the rest of the team in battle with Panther nemesis Ulysses Klaue!

For those who haven't been keeping up, Marvel's Avengers: Ultron Revolution is the title for the third season of the Avengers cartoon that had been known as Marvel's Avengers Assemble. In addition to featuring an ongoing struggle with Ultron, the villain from the second Avengers movie, the season also incorporates elements of Captain America: Civil War.

It's actually pretty surprising that it took nearly three whole seasons for this show to introduce a character as important to Avengers history as Black Panther, but it's a safe guess that Marvel wanted him to make his movie debut first, so that he'd be more familiar to viewers and so that they could model him on his movie design. His costume is basically identical to how Panther appears in Civil War, which is in keeping with the looks of most of the animated Avengers --- except that animated Captain America and Thor keep their helmets on a lot more on the cartoon!

The villain in the episode, as seen in this clip, is Ulysses Klaue, who was also the villain in the Fantastic Four story that introduced Black Panther to the comics back in 1966 (although his name was spelled "Klaw" back then). Klaue briefly appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron, played by Andy Serkis. In the comics he's a master of sound, but here he has a Iron Man-style suit of armor, which is based on his "living sound" form from the comics, and makes him look like a lot like a sentinel.

"Panther's Rage" airs on Disney XD this Sunday, September 25, at 8:30AM ET/PT.
