DC Comics' most shameless superhero could be getting his own hour-long drama on SyFy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, SyFy has ordered a pilot script for a potential Booster Gold series, which will be written by Fringe and Warehouse 13 co-executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. The project is reportedly being helmed by Berlanti Productions and Warner Horizon Television, with founder Greg Berlanti (Green Lantern, No Ordinary Family) and Kreisberg aiming to co-executive produce the pilot. From THR:

The story will center on Booster Gold, a washed-up athlete from the future who travels back to the present in hopes of becoming the greatest super hero of all time. Instead of chasing criminals, however, his main priority is chasing fame and money. But Booster Gold discovers that being a hero takes more than just a megawatt smile, and that the future doesn't happen without first protecting the present.

Though the synopsis seems accurate, what fans are really waiting to find out is whether the script will include Booster's flying robotic companion/moral center Skeets... and if he'll manifest as a bluetooth headset as he did in the season 10 episode Smallville, "Booster."
