There’s no arguing that DC Comics maintains a stronger foothold on TV than Marvel, but 2016 will be a huge year for the former’s cinematic exploits as well. To wit, The CW has arranged two new TV specials for January, the first to preview Arrow-Flash spinoff Legends of Tomorrow, followed by a look at Batman v. Superman’s Justice League future, as well as a brand-new Suicide Squad trailer!

Per the comic company’s official announcement, immediately following The Flash on January 19 will see The CW airing DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: Their Time Is Now, a half-hour special with interviews from cast and crew. Afterward at 9:30 P.M., DC’s TV heroes will kick over to the silver screen with DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League, a new preview of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in advance of its March 25 release.

As if that weren’t exciting enough, the new Batman v Superman special will also debut the second official trailer for villainous teamup Suicide Squad, the first official footage since the leak of its Comic-Con 2015 presentation.  For those not already drooling with anticipation, Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5.

2016 will prove a banner year for DC both on big screens and small, but what might we see from either of the two new specials on January 19?
