Oh, the Green Lantern Corps. Sitting on your high horse. Thinking you're all cool and hip because you were the centerpiece of DC Comics' publishing slate last summer into this winter (see: "Blackest Night") and you're the subject of an upcoming live-action film (see: Ryan Reynolds-starring, Martin Campbell-directed "Green Lantern" movie) and you even have your own cartoon show coming out in the near future (see: last week's announcement of a "Green Lantern" animated series on Cartoon Network).

Yes, you're very cool, so much so that your sheer willpower has allowed you to invade popular culture with nary a bat of a mainstream eyelash. So cool, in fact, that every single action figure collector in Space Sector 2814 is willing to brave the toy aisles of Wal-Mart - yes, that Wal-Mart - to procure the retail mega-store's exclusive DC Universe Classics "Green Lantern" five-pack action figures.

But honestly, when there's a five-pack featuring classic Guy Gardner, Tomar Re, grey-haired Hal Jordan, Mosaic Jon Stewart and Green Lantern Sinestro, it's admittedly hard to resist, isn't it?

In the end, I guess it comes down to this: damn you, Green Lantern Corps, for being so awesome.[Via: Toy News International]
