Disney Tsum Tsum, the range of cute and cuddly stackable plush toys, is absolutly huge right now, and the line has already expanded into the worlds of animation and video games. Now, they’re set to invade the Marvel Universe this August with a series of variant covers by some of the best in the business, and a brand new in-continuity miniseries, Marvel Tsum Tsum, by Jacob Chabot and David Baldeon.

The miniseries features a crate full of the cuddly critters getting loose in Brooklyn while en route to The Collector menagerie, and they’re discovered by a group of teenager who learn that the Tsum Tsums believe themselves to be the actual Marvel heroes.

Much like the current Contest of Champions miniseries by Al Ewing and Rhoald Marcellius, Marvel Tsum Tsum spins out of an app of the same name; in this case a stacking game that is currently only available in Japan.

The Tsum Tsum takeover doesn’t stop there, as August also sees twenty variant covers featuring the heroes of the Marvel Universe teaming up and/or clashing with their adorable counterparts. Check out our gallery below for a taste of the variants featuring art by Kris Anka, Tradd MooreJoelle Jones and more.
