* DC COMICS PRESENTS: GREEN LANTERN: WILLWORLD
It's a very light week for interesting new comics, so it's a good time to revisit one of the late Seth Fisher's most impressive-looking projects: a 2001 graphic novel written by J.M. DeMatteis, now reprinted as part of DC's cheapo eight-dollar line.
% DETECTIVE COMICS #877
Scott Snyder and Jock's run (on the Dick Grayson side of Snyder's two-pronged story) closes in on its conclusion. Nice cover!
* ^ % DUNGEON MONSTRES VOL. 4: NIGHT OF THE LADYKILLER
Joann Sfar and Lewis Trondheim's side series to their zillion-volume semi-parodic sword-and-sorcery epic continues, reprinting a pair of French-language volumes (the fifth and sixth in the European series, confusingly enough), respectively drawn by Jean-Emmanuel Vermot-Desroches and Yoann. The latter, in particular, looks really sharp.
* KIRBY GENESIS #0
The Marvels duo of Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross reunites (with Jackson Herbert pitching in on the visual side) for this project, inspired by a bunch of designs that Jack Kirby came up with but didn't realize further. This preview issue is twelve pages of story, plus bonuses, for a dollar.
@ XOMBI #3
John Rozum and Frazer Irving's witty, way-off-center supernatural/religious adventure series is a feast for the eyes, adored by the three of us who are reading it. Make it four, won't you?
