With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 not hitting theaters until 2017, it’ll still be a while before Marvel officially reveals new cast members, concept art or any of the other stuff we’re dying to know about the sequel. But today we’re one step closer to the Guardians sequel becoming a reality, as James Gunn has revealed that the script is officially complete.

Gunn confirmed completion of the script on his Facebook page, adding that this is still a first draft, but it’s ready to be sent out to the actors:

Coming to you presently, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista (Batista), Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Vin Diesel.

And although we assumed they’d all be back for the sequel, this is the first real confirmation we’ve gotten of the core cast’s return. Gunn says he’s sending the script to Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn. When asked why Bradley Cooper and Karen Gillan’s names were absent from the role call, Gunn said that’s because they’re not on Facebook like everyone else. Fancy.

Even though Saldana previously said Benicio Del Toro would be returning to reprise his role as The Collector, Del Toro himself confirmed this week that it’s not happening, but he hopes to return to the MCU soon. Kurt Russell remains in talks to play the role of Peter Quill / Star-Lord’s dad, while Oldboy star Pom Klementieff has also reportedly joined the cast in a mystery role speculated to be that of Mantis.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5, 2017.
