Sgt. Slaughter is easily one of the most polarizing figures in "G.I. Joe" lore. On one side of the fence is a contingent of fans that don't believe a real life wrestling icon should have been allowed on the Joe squad. On the other side of the fence is everybody with substance, taste, and a brain.

The people on the latter end of the equation are going to be very happy to hear that Hasbro is coming out with a new Sgt. Slaughter action figure as their San Diego Comic-Con exclusive in 2010. The details are relatively few right now - images haven't been released, there's no official price - but here's what we do know:

- There will be two versions of the figure: one wearing his traditional USA shirt, another wearing his Triple T tank top.

- He'll come with a whistle, hat and some other accessories.

- The figure is likely to be sold at Hasbro's online store after Comic-Con ends.

- Sgt. Slaughter himself will be at the Hasbro booth at Comic-Con.

That's just about all the information I need to guarantee that I'll be hunting after this bad boy come Comic-Con this year. And anybody that tries to stand in my way will find themselves stuffed into a ditty bag. An itty bitty ditty bag.[via Toy News International]
