When it comes to the holiday gift-giving season, comic book readers are notoriously difficult to shop for. I mean, most of us are down at the shop buying our favorite stuff every single week, so when the time comes for people who like us to get us something we want, well, a lot of times we already have it. That’s why we’re stepping in with a public service, bringing you comics-related items sure to make the season brighter, whether you’re browsing for a gift or just looking for something to drop hints about so that you don’t get stuck with a random assortment of back issues again.

Hey, did you know we like Adventure Time? Because we really like Adventure Time, and if you're buying a present for someone in a similar state, you're probably going to want to grab an in-character encyclopedia detailing everything there is to know about the show!

I've got a feeling that you're already familiar with Adventure Time, the smash hit Cartoon Network show about a boy and his dog having adventures through a fantasy kingdom that's also a post-Apocalyptic Earth. There's been some buzz about it lately. It's pretty good. And the thing about it is that when people like it, they tend to really, really like it, to the point where even DVD sets and Eisner award-winning comics aren't quite enough to sate their desire for more information about what's going on in Ooo. Lucky for you, that's where this book comes in.

Written in-character as Hunson Abadeer, the Lord of the Nightosphere and Marceline the Vampire Queen's dad (and actually written by Martin Olson, the real-life father of Marceline's voice actress, Olivia Olson), it's 160 pages of information on the world and characters of Adventure Time, complete with notes from Marceline, Finn and Jake scribbled in the margins. It's the perfect extra for a fan of the show who wants a little more.

The only problem is that they might already have it -- when it was released in July, it got to #5 on the bestseller list -- but I'm sure there are a lot of fans of the show who somehow missed it when it came out. Like, say, me for instance. Hint hint.
