‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Will Finally Make Felicity Smoak a Superhero
Anyone following Arrow at fan conventions in the last few years will recognize one very specific question: “Will Felicity ever suit up and become a vigilante?” Well, get ready, as some new concept art from the penultimate Legends of Tomorrow episode sees “Doomworld” bringing us just that.
Executive producer Marc Guggenheim shared some concept art from Legends Season 2’s upcoming trip to “Doomworld,” confirming that the alternate reality unleashed by the Spear of Destiny will see Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) as a masked vigilante. Seeing as this is a world where the Legends never formed (and thanks to Merlyn, likely Arrow-less as well), it appears Felicity had to fill the void:
Before Felicity fans get up in arms about their girl suiting up, take a look at what Guggenheim said of the episode a few months back (and we totally guessed it):
Oh, and in the penultimate episode we’re gonna have — I can’t be specific about this, but it’s one of the most fun things I think we’ve ever done on the show — a character from one of the other shows on Legends in a way that you’ve never seen before, you may never see again, but will, I think, just send fans into squeals of joy.
In the meantime, so reads the synopsis for “Doomworld”
“BETRAYALS – After obtaining the Spear of Destiny, the Legion of Doom rewrites reality, leaving the Legends changed, perhaps forever. Frightfully, the Legends’ and the world’s hope rests with Rory (Dominic Purcell), but being the “hero” is not easy for him. Meanwhile, there is tension within the Legion of Doom and the reason why the Spear of Destiny needs to be destroyed is revealed.
