Arrow is adding a lot of stuff this season: superpowers (as exemplified by the new Flash who will be premiering in an episode, then heading on to his own series), a possible Metamorpho, and now it's been revealed that Bronze Tiger, the amoral martial artist sometimes-hero sometimes-villain will be joining the show.

And he'll be played by Spawn and Black Dynamite star Michael Jai White, so expect no complaints from me there. (Expect many more elsewhere.)

Here's what the show's executive producer, Marc Guggenheim, said about White playing the role:

Michael] is such a badass. His performance, our kick-ass stunt department, our incredibly talented costumer designer, and our very gifted props master…they’ve all combined their A-games to create a really great representation of this DC Comics character. If you’re a fan of the character from the comics, you are going to really happy with his Arrow-fication.

Generally, I'd be upset that he's not going to be wearing a full-on tiger mask in the show, but Michael Jai White is the absolute best dude, so a movie-style Wolverine jacket is actually a-OK.

Arrow's second season premieres Oct. 9 on The CW. The week before that, The CW will air a special called "Arrow: Year One," which will cover the first season for those that missed it.
