New ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Season 2 Trailer Hints at Zombie Origins
The appeal of Fear The Walking Dead has seen a chance to explore different sides of the zombie apocalypse, whether in locale, or variety. Season 2 will take to the high seas, but may hint at a cause for the zombie plague in a new trailer, amid all the pirates and familiar Walking Dead tricks.
Entertainment Weekly unveiled a new trailer for the April 10 premiere, continuing the beachside and aquatic walker action we’ve seen, though one character curiously references the world’s current state as “It couldn’t be more natural. The world couldn’t sustain itself, so it said ‘enough.’” Elsewhere, it looks like the core group isn’t the only one on the seas, while Nick may have discovered the ol’ “zombie gunk camouflage” trick.
Elsewhere of Fear The Walking Dead Season 2, premiering its first of seven episodes on April 10, and the later eight at a different time, we know that Hemlock Grove star (and almost-Wolverine) Dougray Scott has joined the new season in a mystery role, along with Arturo Del Puerto and It Follows star Daniel Zovatto in recurring parts. Joined by Chris Hardwick’s Talking Dead after every episode, and Moving to Mexico for a more aquatic production, so reads the Season 2 synopsis of Fear The Walking Dead:
Season one left off with Madison (Kim Dickens), Travis (Cliff Curtis) and their extended family taking temporary shelter in Strand’s (Colman Domingo) gated estate overlooking the Pacific Ocean. As civil unrest continues to grow and the dead take over Los Angeles, Strand prepares to escape to “Abigail,” his large yacht moored offshore.
We’ll learn more toward the official April premiere, but stay tuned for the latest on Fear The Walking Dead Season 2.
