There's been plenty of set photos and videos circulating that show a Spider-Stuntman in action on an L.A. set this week, but only recently did MTV Splash Page reveal legit look at the profile of Andrew Garfield's upcoming Spider-Man reboot movie costume uncovered. It's important to note that some of this costume's features (the silvery sandals/slippers, for example) could be exaggerated or even wholly utilitarian modifications with specific stunts/scenes in mind and not part of the final look of the film, but it's fairly safe to assume that the mask, gloves and mechanical-looking webshooters are here to stay.My guess is that, much like the honkin' rubber feet sported by Chris Evans during the shooting of the barefoot running scenes in Captain America: The First Avenger we saw awhile back, the silvery slipper things on this Spidey suit are merely protective coverings for a super expensive movie costume. Of course, if I'm wrong, then at least they match his equally silvery webshooters.

The mask's red lenses also seem a little odd, so it's probably a good idea to wait and see if their depicted hue are part of some kind of CGI color-replacement strategy or something. At the same time, the size and shape of the mask's eyes seem in line with most moderate comic artists' takes.

Spidey's new gloves are easily the most prominent modification on his outfit, but considering the utility of the palm padding (dude is constantly swinging on web lines, you know?), some fans might focus on his lack of a full "belt." If he's got mechanical webshooters, where's he keeping his spare cartridges? I'll leave that possibly NSFW thinking to you, valued reader.
