Through all of its problems over the past year or so, Spidey fans have been champing at the bit for just a little hope that Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark will be ANY good. At this point previews of the show's cast, music and costumes have all proven nothing short of polarizing, but could the $60+ million monster have finally thrown fankind a web? That depends. Do you like watching dudes in Spider-Man suits pulling off mondo flips in front of sprawling sets? The show's latest video teaser totally has some of that!Popping up on the Turn Off the Dark Facebook page late yesterday, the minute-or-so-long video is chock full of promotional speak from Bono and The Edge, along with director/co-book-writer/mask designer Julie Taymor, all over top the show's "Boy Falls From The Sky" jam. But nevermind all that noise - there's freaky spider people dancing around and an actual guy in a costume getting some serious air!

For those of you who still aren't sold on the show's "Geek Chorus," Swiss Miss, "Grinch" Green Goblin and company, have heart! They might all be getting kicked in the face by a talented stunt performer catapulted across Foxwoods Theatre in the guise of your friendly neighborhood wall-crawler. I'm probably just riding high on fan desperation right now, but for the sake of hysteria, I'll go on faux record and say I'd drop the $150 needed to see that particular scenario come to pass when the show wraps its November/December advance showings and opens up to the public on January 11.Something tells me my expectations may still be a little high, though. I don't see a Gorg J. Jonah Jameson anywhere yet...
