I don't want to assume anything about your life, but I can definitely tell you that I didn't wake up this morning expecting to be really excited about a new Betty Boop comic, and yet, here we are, in a world where that is exactly what I'm feeling. As part of a string of announcements leading up to this week's San Diego Comic-Con, Dynamite Entertainment has revealed an all-new Betty Boop series from Roger Langridge and Gisèle Lagacé, set to make its debut in October. And just in case that wasn't enough of a surprise for today, it's also going to have covers by Howard Chaykin.

It's not unusual for San Diego Comic-Con to debut a new episode of a fan-favorite cartoon --- in fact, it'd be downright shocking if there wasn't at least one premiere screening over in the Indigo Ballroom all weekend. When the fan-favorite cartoon in question had its last new episode in 1984, however, that's a little more notable. And that's exactly what's happening this year. On Wednesday, Super7 --- the folks behind the eponymous magazine and books about Japnese toys who are also responsible for reintroducing the world to Ultimate M.U.S.C.L.E. figures at last year's Comic-Con --- is debuting a brand-new episode of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe this Wednesday, almost 32 years after the last one.

This week we're taking a look at Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the Cartoon Network series that follows the adventures of the Jedi as they battled against the Separatists' droid army in the years between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. In this episode, you can learn about the history of the show from its development to its predecessors to what happened to the planned stories that never aired.

Later this week will see Luke Cage make history as the first Marvel Defender to reach Comic-Con, and San Diego is going to have trouble containing the hero for hire, if the new poster is any indication. Luke Cage has been bulking up in a stylish new look at the September premiere!

San Diego Comic Con is without a doubt the biggest event on the industry's calendar, and people will be flying from around the world to attend panels, watch trailers, meet creators, and make friends. This year's event is bigger than ever, with so much going on every single day that it can be difficult to sift through all that information and decide how to spend your time. With the event only days away, we've looked through the schedules and hand-selected some of the best events happening on Thursday and Friday for fans of comics, collectibles, TV and film, so you can be sure you don't miss that must-see panel or signing.

Keith Champagne, a comics writer and artist known for his work on Aztek, Green Lantern Corps, and JSA, recently suffered a broken leg while camping with friends and family and will be unable to work for the foreseeable future. In effort to relieve the Champagne family's troubles, his collaborator Tom Nguyen has started a GoFundMe page to help them with medical costs and Keith's recovery period.

This past year has been a massive one for Hasbro's Star Wars lines. From the collector favorite Star Wars Black Series to the 3.75" figures and everything in between, you can hardly find a Hasbro aisle anywhere in the country that isn't jammed with figures from a galaxy far, far away. While at Star Wars Celebration Europe this past weekend, we caught up Steve Evans, design director for Hasbro's Star Wars figures, to talk about what's new, what's coming, and how Hasbro plans on keeping the line fresh headed into Rogue One later this year. We also have some new images of the upcoming Black Series wave, due to arrive later this fall, along with new 3.75" figures and vehicles featuring your favorite Star Wars Rebels characters.

If you take a look at the official Power Rangers photos released by Lionsgate to this point, it’s easy to see the pattern they have in mind. First came a group shot of the cast out of costume, then came a group shot of the cast in costume. This past week, Lionsgate released individual character posters on its Instagram channel for each of the new cast members, as well as a new photo of Elizabeth Banks in her Rita Repulsa get-up. I’m not a betting man, but if this pattern holds, I’d keep an eye out for some individualized photos of the Power Rangers costumes before too long

Have you had your fill of Star Wars cosplay yet? Good, because we're back again with another installment of tremendous costuming from the show floor of this year's Star Wars Celebration. Every single day, these committed folks have been putting on a show for more casual con-goers, and being the champs they are, stopping every single time a family, solo attendee or kid asks for a picture. After three days of total, non-stop action, you'd think there was nothing left in the tank for these cosplayers, but Sunday showed these creative attendees had a lot more to offer than we ever expected. From the original saga, to The Force Awakens, to the animated shows, comics and beyond, these are the best Star Wars cosplays from day three of Star Wars Celebration.

Headed to Comic-Con International this month? Be sure to keep your eyes open: Entertainment Weekly reports that copies this new Doctor Strange poster will be distributed at the convention, which runs from July 21–24. This may not be the announcement of a Doctor Strange panel that a lot of fans are still hoping for, but as far as consolation prizes go, it’s pretty darn acceptable.
