You may have noticed that here at ComicsAlliance, we are pretty excited about the Power Rangers, and Power Rangers Super Megaforce, in addition to having 300% more adjectives than other adventure shows, is probably the most exciting of all. It's built around the theme of Power Rangers who celebrate more than two decades of the franchise by transforming into past Rangers (and unlocking their secret powers with the help of guest stars returning from previous seasons), and that's definitely something we're into.

That's why we're pretty pleased to be a part of introducing the world to Cameron Jebo, the actor who will be playing the all-new Silver Ranger in upcoming episodes. Check out the exclusive video to meet him and learn a little more about his role in the series.

As the Silver Ranger, Jebo is part of a pretty exclusive club of Sixth Rangers, the often-mysterious heroes who show up after the original team has been formed to shake things up and help save the day. In the past, this is a role that's gone to reformed villains, a talking dog in a trenchcoat, and Jason David Frank as Tommy Oliver twice, and anyone who was a kid watching the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers who remembers how hard we all lost our minds when the Green Ranger showed up will know that it's a big deal.

As for Jebo in particular, he's playing the part of the Silver Ranger that was originated in the Japanese Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger by Junya Ikeda as Ikari Gai:

In Gokaiger, the source material for Super Megaforce, Gai was a human sentai superfan who joined up with space pirates and used his knowledge of the previous teams to help them find their ultimate powers. What's interesting is that in Megaforce, all the characters are already humans, and Jebo's character name is the cosmic-sounding Orion, which makes me wonder if they're going to invert that formula and make him the spaceman instead. Either way, it'll be fun to watch him take on the role.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce airs Saturdays at noon on Nickelodeon.
