Dominic Cooper Teases Gutsy Start to ‘Preacher’ Season 2 Production
If the Annville-centric first season of AMC’s Preacher served any purpose, it was to prelude things really hitting the fan in Season 2. Production has now officially begun, as star Dominic Cooper spills his guts on what kind of carnage we might expect to see in the second season.
Following Seth Rogen’s script tease last year, Preacher star Cooper shared a terse new look at production for the second season, which is already shaping up to be pretty bloody. If we had to guess, this looks like Cassidy’s handiwork, but who knows? Maybe Ruth Negga got a little overexcited about her Oscar nomination.
Elsewhere of Preacher Season 2, we know that the first season finale more or less wiped the slate clean, destroying the town of Annville, Texas, and with it Odin Quincannon (Jackie Earle Haley), Sheriff Root (W. Earl Brown), Donnie Schenck (Derek Wilson), and Emily (Lucy Griffiths). Eugene “Arseface” Root was theoretically spared, while Season 2 will also continue on with Graham McTavish’s “Saint of Killers,” and the as-yet-uncast Herr Starr.
We’ll surely see more from the thirteen-episode Preacher Season 2 production in the coming weeks, but what whose guts might already have spilled?
