Waking Up is Hard to Do in ‘Prophet’ #24 [Preview]

You know that feeling of utter disorientation upon waking up to an unfamiliar room? It doesn't matter if you're on vacation or recovering from a party on a friend's couch, there's at least a mild trace of panic -- however fleeting -- in finding yourself in foreign surroundings. It's just human nature. Fortunately for John Prophet, he's far more than human. In this week's Prophet #24 by Brandon Graham, artist Farel Dalrymple and cover artist Giannis Milonogiannis, the titular hero wakes to find himself in the midst of his own potential demise aboard a highly radioactive space ship crash. Where some might start spouting phrases akin to lines from The Talking Heads' "Once in a Lifetime" in disbelief (This is not my beautiful cryo pod!), Prophet wastes no time getting to what matters: his new mission. Sample the first six pages of Prophet #24 after the jump. From Image's official solicitation info:
John Prophet's mission has been changed. He now has to cross the continent sized starship of Sleepingman to save a creature who has crashed onto the world below. He must survive deadly radiation and a strangely familiar thing that's been trapped in the ship.
