Rubber: A Movie About a Vengeful, Sentient Superpowered Tire

The newest superpower-themed movie just released its first trailer, and while that's a line I could copy and paste into an article pretty much every week, here's something you've never heard before: It's about an angry, sentient tire named Robert with superpowers that can make people's heads explode. Things get ugly when Robert discovers a pile of burning tires, and starts roaming the desert on a quest to avenge them by blowing up people's heads. I am not making this up.
The film, "Rubber," was written and directed by Quentin Depieux, and will debut at Cannes 2010. It has been described by one reviewer as "both absolutely hysterical and surprisingly well made," giving it an edge on a significant number of superhero films, with almost as much exploding.
