The Walking Dead writer (who debuted the series with artist Tony Moore) Robert Kirkman has taken one more step toward multimedia domination.

His company, Skybound Entertainment, announced that it has hired Jon Goldman the former CEO of the video game company Foundation 9 Entertainment, to serve as a managing partner in charge of digital offerings and live events. The studios under the Foundation 9 umbrella have worked on a number of licensed titles, including Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters, and the Wreck-It Ralph game.

“My involvement with Skybound has been a long time in the making,” Goldman told VentureBeat. “It is a great privilege to work with the Skybound team to create a multifaceted transmedia company including imprints in the world of video games, merchandise, special events, and beyond.”

Skybound already has a series of video games developed by Telltale Games based on The Walking Dead and is planning to launch a traveling obstacle course titled The Walking Dead Escape in late April. Presumably, Goldman would be looking to develop other properties, such as Outcast, Manifest Destiny, Clone, Witch Doctor, Dead Body Road, Thief of Thieves, Invincible, and Super Dinosaur.
