Skybound Celebrates Image’s 25th Anniversary With 25 Cent Jumping On Points
Next year Image Comics is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and to celebrate the occasion, Robert Kirkman's Skybound imprint will release issues of its three cornerstone titles for only 25¢ each. Outcast, Invincible and The Walking Dead all start brand new stories in February, and fans will be able to check them out for a fraction of their usual cost.
In the appropriately numbered Outcast #25 by Kirman, Paul Azaceta and Elizabeth Breitweiser, a brand new story arc begins that brings new characters and new changes for Kyle Barnes as, for the first time since the series began, he begins to experience a strange feeling known as hope.
The Walking Dead #163 by Kirkman and Charlie Adlard is the first issue after the conclusion of the current epic storyline "The Whisperer War," which has seen the survivors fighting off the terrifying army that dresses themselves in the skin of the dead. The Walking Dead's popularity sees no sign of slowing down, and this could prove to be a great jumping on point for fans of the franchise from other media who want to try out the comic that started it all.
Finally, Invincible #133 sees the return of Ryan Ottley, just in time to join Kirkman for "The End Of Everything," the very final arc of the ongoing Invincible title. Invincible is known for its tight plotting, but with only twelve issues left, everything is coming home to roost in a massive story that promises to touch every corner of the Invincible universe.
