X-Men isn’t the only superhero franchise with some major updates today — there’s also some interesting new info from Sony and Marvel’s upcoming Spider-Man reboot. Homecoming star Tom Holland has revealed the details of his contract with both studios, while Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has offered official confirmation of Michael Keaton’s villainous role in the new Spidey film.

Following their extensive report on the state of Fox’s X-Men universe, THR has some exclusive intel on the Spider-Man franchise from this month’s print edition. According to Tom Holland, Spider-Man: Homecoming is just the beginning of his superhero career, as the actor reveals that he’s signed on for six films — three solo movies and three Marvel appearances, which, as he explains, could be just about anything:

They give you options and those could be exercised whenever. Like a cameo in Avengers. I’m unclear as to which movies though. I do know I have three Spider-Man [appearances in other] movies and three solo movies contracted. But if you have another movie, Marvel is so good at working around it. They’re very respectful of your life, really. They understand that you have to work on other movies, and they try and fix it up so you can work around each other.

Holland has already appeared in one MCU film (Civil War), and recently wrapped on his first Spider-Man movie, leaving two more solo sequels and two Marvel appearances — the latter of which could end up being cameos, or full-on supporting roles in the next two Avengers movies.

Speaking of which, in an interview with the Toronto Sun, Marvel’s Kevin Feige confirmed that Michael Keaton is playing the villain Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Although it was long rumored and speculated, Feige’s confirmation is the first official acknowledgement of Keaton’s role. ComingSoon also picked up on a couple of leaked images of Keaton’s costume from the film, which you can check out over on imgur.

Spider-Man: Homecoming also stars Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Kenneth Choi and Michael Chernus, and hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
