As part of the growing creator-owned comics activism (and perhaps as a response to the increasingly extra-comics nature of Comic-Con International), a large group of comics writers and artists have conspired to created TR!CKSTER, a multi-purpose event and retail space across the street from the San Diego Convention Center, site of this summer's massive comics convention...

Delayed almost as many times as the Spider-Man musical, registration for Comic-Con International is now set for Saturday, February 5 2011. Attendees are advised to visit the official registration page beginning at 9 a.m. Pacific Standard Time to book their tickets, which are available as four-day passes for $105 ($52 for children) or single-day passes for $37 each ($18 for children)...

The long and annual international nightmare that is Comic-Con registration grew even longer this morning, when the organizers of the San Diego show had to close down ticket sales for the second time this year following some unspecified technical issues...

If all goes according to plan, things are going to get swanky at Comic-Con. A proposed expansion of the San Diego Convention Center includes a five-acre rooftop park, which would be amazing for taking a break from the chaos of the con floor, or for outdoor programming, or for nighttime parties, all with a gorgeous view of the San Diego bay...

Set your alarms for 6 a.m. (PST) on November 22, when Comic-Con International makes its second attempt to open registration for the 2011 San Diego show that runs Thursday, July 21 through Sunday, July 24. Adult attendees will be able to purchase either four-day memberships for $105 or single-day memberships for $37...

Update: According to the official San Diego Comic-Con International website, registration for the 2011 show is on hold due to technical difficulties. A new registration date will reportedly be announced on Monday, November 8. Set your alarms for 9 a...
