Emet Comics Launces 'Fresh Romance Volume 2' Via Kickstarter
When Emet Comics absorbed Rosy Press, we knew that would lead to more diverse queer romance comics, and quite possibly more of Fresh Romance, the anthology title that first launched back in 2014. And our dreams have come true, with Emet announcing a new Kickstarter campaign to fund Fresh Romance Volume 2, a collection of all new romance stories to be published as five digital issues as well as a print collection.
Comics Alliance's Coffee Shop AU Gift Guide
Warm up your body and soul this season with a steaming hot mug of feelings and coffee. Stories like the fabled "coffee shop AUs (alternate universes)," where licensed characters are imagined in low-key, romantic settings, have been derided by some as lacking drama or conflict, and to that I say: thank god. We don't need to fantasize about conflict or drama in all our fiction when we can just greet what's waiting on our front door. Sometimes, the soul just needs kindling. Share the gifts of feeling and warmth with this coffee shop AU gift guide.

This gift guide provides ideas for gifts for the shipper in your life across various fandoms. Of course, you may want to casually check who they ship before you buy anything!
Rosy Press Publisher Talks Kickstarter, Print Edition and More
At the beginning of last year, editor and publisher Janelle Asselin launched Rosy Press with the specific goal of publishing romance comics, a genre that most in the industry had long since given up on. Now Asselin is running a second Kickstarter to bring a Fresh Romance collection to print, with the help of Oni Press. ComicsAlliance spoke to Asselin --- a former editor for this site --- about her recent successes and future goals for Rosy Press.

The Challenges Of Publishing And Crowdfunding
ComicsAlliance senior editor Janelle Assellin has wanted to start her own publishing company for a long time. With so many people out there who want to do similar things, Janelle has decided to explain how it all happened for her, and to share what she's learned.
