If you didn't tune into DC's big Dawn of the Justice League special tonight on The CW, then you missed the official debut of the new trailer for Suicide Squad. Lucky for you, the trailer has arrived online and the Worst Heroes Ever have assembled, joining forces to take down a threat much worse than all their villainous powers combined.

30 Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto’s account on Twitter is an… interesting place. While most celebrities use the social media platform to afford their fans a little peek into their day-to-day lives, the Academy Award-winning actor treats it as a portal directly into the recesses of his mind. And, by anyone’s measure, it’s weird in there. For instance, here’s a photo of a shard of driftwood wedged between two rocks. Why is it there? We’ll never know, though that didn’t stop nearly two thousand people from hitting the little heart-button on it. Only Jared Leto can know. Hi, Jared Leto. But Leto diverged from his usual combination of oh-I-didn’t-see-you-there selfies and inscrutable retweets for a post pertaining to his role as the Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad film.

Batman isn’t the only one sporting new wheels in the DC movie universe — as briefly glimpsed in the official Suicide Squad footage, the Joker also has a pretty sweet new ride. If you want a closer look at the custom vehicle and would like to know more about how it was made, a new featurette has arrived from an unlikely source to give you the low-down on the Joker’s low-riding car.

Suicide Squad is still a good 10 months away, but it’s apparently never too early to start getting people excited about the upcoming introduction of the new Joker. Jared Leto is on the cover of the new issue of Empire magazine in full Joker mode, and inside the pages, opens up for the first time about playing the character, admitting to his Method acting, saying, “I took a pretty deep dive.”

While neither Batman vs. Superman nor Suicide Squad had a major presence at #NYCC, they did still find ways to participate. Batman vs. Superman had a LexCorp booth, which provided free Wi-Fi for attendees, plus also free LexCorp branded cell phone chargers. Suicide Squad didn’t do anything that flashy or formal, but one of its biggest stars did make a very special appearance. This past weekend at Comic-Con, fans attending the Batman vs. Superman panel were treated to an additional surprise: the entire cast of Suicide Squad appeared on stage (minus Jared Leto) and introduced our first ever look at footage from the upcoming supervillain film. Despite their pleas to not record any of the footage, someone of course did, and it leaked online shortly thereafter in a really crappy quality. Well, director David Ayer and Warner Bros. feel your pain and have decided to do the right thing and just release the whole trailer online.
