Lego Marvel Super Heroes

Let me tell you, friends, the things Lego has in store for 2017 are likely going to bankrupt me. We got an early look at the upcoming slate of building sets in the Marvel, DC, and Star Wars branches of Lego's release slate, and each area left us dreaming of homes with more display shelves than the library at Alexandria. Toy Fair 2017 was home to a lot of great toys, but nothing gets the creative and collecting juices flowing quite like Lego. Especially when they have some dope Batman sets.

While capes and cowls dominating the box office is the new phenomenon, video games are no stranger to awesome tales of superheroics. With that in mind, we've scoured the streets of Gotham, taken a double-dose of radiation, and grabbed our shark repellents to put together this list most excelsior list of the 10 Greatest Superhero Games!

For what seems like an eternity, Lego and Marvel fans alike have been looking forward to the brickmaker's take on SHIELD's iconic mobile headquarters, the Helicarrier. After years of waiting, the dream came true. This March, Lego will release a massive scale replica of the high-flying fortress, complete with the world's first ever Maria Hill mini-figure. Coming in at just under 3,000 pieces (2,996 to be exact), the Lego SHIELD Helicarrier isn't just going to be a beast to put together, at 31 inches long, 17 inches wide, and 11 inches tall, it's also going to be one of the largest Lego sets in the Marvel Super Hero Line (though it's still a bit smaller than the Lego Super Star Destroyer from Star Wars). It should be noted, the Helicarrier being released is going to be based on the first Avengers film, and not Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, the mini-figures included are all based on the costumes Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye, Nick Fury and Maria Hill are wearing in the latest film. And yes, you read that right; there will be two female figures included, even if it will cost you $349.99 to get them.

Earlier this week, the official German Lego site posted its catalog for the first half of 2015. While ordinary this wouldn't be a big deal, the preview book actually featured the first look at the company's planned Lego Marvel Super Heroes Avengers: Age of Ultron sets.

Thanks to Wal-Mart Canada, fans can finally scope out next year's Marvel Super Heroes sets from LEGO.
