Image Comics is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and as part of that a select number of its comics each month will feature a variant cover tied to a certain theme. While this month has Image titles with variants based on other Image titles, March is Women's History Month and to celebrate, eleven of Image's titles will feature special variants with 100% of the proceeds going to Planned Parenthood.

In Best Comic Book Covers Ever (This Month), we look back over some of the most eye-catching, original and exceptional covers of the past month. August offers a feast of shape and color, with striking covers by Scott Fischer, Victor Santos, Chrystin Garland, and Tula Lotay, some bold juxtaposition, and a quirky take on a pulp archetype or two -- including a Nazi airship and some poor sap being held in a giant hand. It's a classic!

Over the past couple of years, Rick Remender has done a pretty solid job of balancing his work for Marvel with creator-owned titles. In addition to his work on Captain America, he's launched Black Science with Matteo Scalera and Deadly Class with Wesley Craig and Lee Loughridge, and now, he and artist Greg Tocchini are reuniting for a new sci-fi series called Low.
