
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Are Paranoid And Parentless
Back in the TMNT's Hollywood heyday, it was popular to parade the costumed mutants around mainstream media outlets. Problem is, once there, the whole idea of live action turtles seemed kind of awful. We can all sing "Pizza Power" until a generation loses its collective voice, but after their rock tour, appearance on Oprah and a really, really, really bad string of sequels, the poor turtles were forced into a immensely deserved retirement.
So before you get too excited about the upcoming "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" live action revival that's planned, relive the moment your parents decided it was best that you stopped saying things like "dudette." That's right, the turtles as interviewed by Barbara Walters:
