Tiny Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Toys Coming From Takara Tomy
It looks like Playmates isn't the only game in town for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures... at least if you don't mind them being only about 2" tall. Japan's TakaraTomy is adding the TMNT to its tradable ARTS line this spring, with four new figures based on the team's CGI animated Nickelodeon looks.
Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo will sport what looks to be seven or so points of articulation, and each mini Green Machine come with its signature weapon(s) when the figures arrive in May. No bad guys have been announced yet, which means fans will have to content themselves with having these turtles battle Playmates' much larger mutant villains.
The figures are set to retail for 300 Yen in Japan, which means they could pop up on North American preorder sites for around $3 USD... but likely quite a bit more since they'll be imports.
