Wonder Woman Day Unleashes Awesome Art for a Good Cause This Sunday
This Sunday comic creators and fans will gather for the fifth-annual Wonder Woman Day, a celebration of comics' most recognizable heroine, to benefit women affected by domestic violence. Organized by the Wonder Woman Museum site, the free, bi-coastal event includes signings and original art auctions (that include more than 300 items) in Portland, Ore. at Excalibur Comics and in Flemington, N.J. at Comic Fusion. Those who can't make the physical events can even participate by bidding on select pieces listed on eBay.
All proceeds from this year's event and auctions will be donated to Bradley Angle and Safe In Hunterdon. In the past four years, the event raised more than $89,000 for its charities, and this year's larger event has the potential to raise even more.
See a smattering of our favorite art pieces from Wonder Woman Day below and be sure to see Wonder Woman Day's official site to see how you can participate.
