Empire Goes All Out With 25 ‘X-Men Days Of Future Past’ Covers
X-fans got their first look at several images of characters from the upcoming X-Men Days of Future Past movie today, in the form of a series of covers -- 25 in total -- from Empire Magazine's January 30 issue.
Some of the covers offer new looks at characters we've seen before, such as James McAvoy's Professor X, Michael Fassbender's Magneto, Peter Dinklage's Bolivar Trask, Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique, and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. Others, however, are the first fans are seeing of particular characters, such as Evan Peters' woefully begoggled Quicksilver and Fan Bingbing as Blink. There are also looks at new actors playing roles that have been in previous films, such as Toad and William Stryker.
Check out a huge selection of the covers, which also offer another good look at the Sentinels, after the jump!
Fans on Twitter have been registering their distaste for Quicksilver's costume, with is weird headphones and Pip-boy accessory. He looks like a hacker from a '90s sci-fi movie. We just want to ask him, "Are you a Cyberpunk, Quicksilver?" Also, what's with the leather shoes? Pretty sure somebody that fast would be able to find some vintage running shoes or at least some sneakers from days gone by even in a dystopian future.
Blink, on the other hand, looks surprisingly comics-accurate, albeit covered in FOX's trademark motorcycle jacket-y/trench coat-y costume.
X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters May 23.
