We've known for a while that Fox was planning on bringing Ethan and Malachai Nicolle's Axe Cop to TV as an animated series, but now, thanks to a press tour, we know when: Axe Cop, along with High School USA! and a yet to be titled project from twin comedians Kenny and Keith Lucas, will be part of the late-night Animation Domination High-Def block debuting on Saturday, July 27th from 11:00 PM to 12:30 AM.From the sound of things, Fox is taking a whole lot of cues from Adult Swim for ADHD (get it?) -- In addition to Nick Offerman -- Parks and Recreation's own Ron Swanson, who I have to assume was cast based at least 90% on his moustache -- as Axe Cop, the show's also set to feature Megan Mullally, Patton Oswalt, Ken Marino and Peter Serafinowicz as regulars, with guest stars including Tyler the Creator, all of whom have been featured on Adult Swim shows like Children's Hospital and Loiter Squad. The pattern continues with High School USA!, from Moral Orel and Mary Shelley's Frankenhole creator Dino Stamatopoulos, which will feature Mandy Moore addressing the problems facing today's teens. The shows are even following the same 11-minute format.

But you know, that's not exactly a bad thing, and the shows sound pretty fun. If nothing else, we already know that Axe Cop is awesome, and what we've seen of the animated version already look pretty great.
