Who are those colorful, silhouetted figures? They're none other than the stars of the upcoming animated film adaptation of Marvel's Big Hero 6, revealed today in advance of Disney's D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif.

The team debuted in comics back in 1998, concurrently in Steven T. Seagle and Duncan Rouleau's Alpha Flight run, and in its own miniseries by Scott Lobdell and Gus Vasquez, Sunfire & Big Hero 6. The team returned in a five-issue 2008 miniseries by Chris Claremont and David Nakayama.

Two character we know for sure won't appear in the film are Silver Samurai (who appeared in this summer's The Wolverine) and Viper, who are both licensed by Fox. Sure to appear are Hiro Hamada (whose last name was Takachiho in the comics) and his robot Baymax. There's a good chance Go Go Tomago, Honey Lemon, Fredzilla and Wasabi-No Ginger are the other characters.

The director of the animated feature, Don Hall, has one other movie under his belt: 2011's Winnie the Pooh. He has worked  as a story artist/supervisor on a bunch of other Disney features, however, including The Princess and the Frog and The Emperor's New Groove.

Big Hero 6 is set to hit theaters November 7, 2014. Check out some early footage and a couple more images from D23 below.
