Those of you who have been keeping up with Valiant may have wondered just what's in store for Bloodshot (the character who has the best, most '90s comics name of all time) in the future. He's currently teaming up with the rest of the universe (including Ninjak) in the pages of The Valiant, but that's only a four-issue miniseries, so what comes next? Well, if the art for the new Bloodshot: Reborn ongoing series is any indication, we know exactly what he's going to be doing for the forseeable future.

Crunches. Lots and lots of crunches.

Seriously, look at those abs! Creators Jeff Lemire and Mico Suayan have ensured that dude is ripped, and while I'm sure part of that just goes with the nanites that give him his healing factor, I don't know that I've ever seen a ten-pack that defined in a long history of reading comics. Oh, and also there's some other stuff about the horrifying consequences of his work with Project Rising Spirit.

Here's what Valiant has to say about the series:

Bloodshot’s nanites made him a nearly unstoppable killing machine. His enhanced strength, speed, endurance, and healing made him the perfect weapon, and he served his masters at Project Rising Spirit – a private contractor trafficking in violence – very well.
Now, Bloodshot is a shadow of his former self. He lives in self-imposed exile, reeling from the consequences of his past life and the recent events that nearly drove him mad. But when a rash of shootings by gunmen who appear to look just like Bloodshot begin, his guilt will send him on a mission to stop the killers, even if it means diving headlong into the violence that nearly destroyed him.
