While other sites may be content to bring you Rocktober, Shocktober or Mohawktober, ComicsAlliance is committed to commemorating the things that really matter! That's why this month, we're bringing you 31 days of Marvel's futuristic cyber-soldier as we celebrate Deathloktober!DID YOU KNOW...

  • Deathlok fought Devil-Slayer in Marvel Spotlight #33, presumably over who had the name that sounded the most like a heavy metal band. Befitting his status as a robot zombie from the future, Deathlok won, and from then on Devil-Slayer was relegated to being his opening act.
  • Deathlok is often characterized by a running internal monologue between his human host and the cybernetic computer in his brain, which he will occasionally call "Puter." This is hilarious.
  • The late Dwayne McDuffie mentioned that the second Deathlok, Michael Collins, was originally created as part of his pitch for a licensed RoboCop comic. Sadly, Marvel has yet to publish a story where Deathlok fights ED-209.

Join us tomorrow for more Deathloktober celebrations!
