ComicsAlliance Celebrates Syndablokktober!

While other sites may be content to bring you Rocktober, Shocktober or Mohawktober, ComicsAlliance is committed to commemorating the things that really matter! That's why this month, we're bringing you 31 days of one of Empowered's lesser-known Superhomeys as we celebrate Syndablokktober!DID YOU KNOW...

• In addition to having gigantic cinderblocks for his head and fists -- which one assumes makes getting punched by him a fairly unpleasant experience -- Syndablokk has the ability to mentally control and communicate with stone, masonry and pavement. He rarely uses this power, though, as it tends to cause massive amounts of property damage.
• Unlike his teammates, Syndablokk is actually pretty nice to and supportive of Empowered, at least after she helps him take out the extremely deadly King Tyrant Lizard, a lisping Tyrannosaurus with a little crown.
• In the universe of Empowered, Syndablokk is commonly paired with Major Havoc in yaoi doujinshi. No official word on what their slash pairing is called, but "Syndavoc" would seem to be a pretty strong contender. And for the record, he's the top.
