Early Look: ‘Conan’ by Tim Truman and Richard Corben

Whilst doing some research for Saturday's post about Hellboy, I stumbled onto a treasure trove of beautiful artwork soon to see print in the pages of Dark Horse's successful Conan revival, from the imaginations of Tim Truman and Richard Corben.

The page below is one of several B&W and color pages posted on the Web site of Truman (one of my all-time favorites who brought Jonah Hex, The Lone Ranger and The Spider to vivid, alarming reality) by Corben in which the young Cimmerian recalls the adventures of his grandfather, Connacht, that made him want to see the world. BTW, CBR and Wizard are confirming the current Conan series will end with #50, and be relaunched as Conan, The Cimmerian in the spring of 2008.
