Flash has curiously lagged behind Arrow in casting for its next season, and its first major addition is sure get Cisco fanboying. Draco Malfoy himself, Tom Felton is joining The Flash Season 3 in a regular role, but what part might he play in “Flashpoint”?

TVLine confirmed the magical new series regular casting, specifically that Harry Potter vet Felton would take the role of “Julian Dorn, a fellow CSI at the Central City Police Department who suspects there’s more to Barry Allen than just his good guy reputation.”

To date, the only major Season 3 clue The Flash has given us arrived with Grant Gustin’s confirmation that the October premiere was at least named for the “Flashpoint” event that Season 2's finale hinted toward. If indeed Season 3 ends up following that route, it’s likely that Barry could begin Season 3 without his Flash-y powers, a ripple-effect of having undone his mother’s death.

Elsewhere of The Flash Season 3, we know Tom Cavanagh has confirmed his return as a Season 3 regular (as what character remains to be seen), along with Violett Beane as his daughter Jesse. John Wesley Shipp will also return as the Earth-3 Jay Garrick, whose identity was confirmed in the second season finale as the mysterious man in the iron mask.

We’ll surely learn more at Comic-Con 2016, but how might The Flash Season 3 use Malf … er, Felton in the “Flashpoint” arc?
