After days of rumors about his potential involvement in Guardians Of The Galaxy, Marvel has now confirmed that Bradley Cooper will voice Rocket Raccon in the upcoming sci-fi/super hero film.

Cooper is perhaps best known for his Academy Award-nominated performance in Silver Linings Playbook and his starring role in The Hangover films. This will be the actor's first voice over work. Early footage of the film was shown during a panel at last month's Comic-Con, but sadly it looks like Marvel won't be officially releasing it online any time soon, so you'll have to wait a little while longer to see what the gun-toting anthropomorphic raccoon, created by Bill Mantlo and Keith Giffen, is going to look like on the big screen.

Based on the comic of the same name, Guardians Of The Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Glenn Close, Zoe Saldaña, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Vin Diesel, Benicio Del Toro and more. Directed by James Gunn, the film is set to be released in theaters on August 1, 2014.
