Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ Goes Gritty in Official Logo, Confirms Rosario Dawson Crossover
More and more details of Marvel’s Netflix Jessica Jones have been trickling out over the last few days, and while we strangely lack any actual photos, visuals are starting to shape up. Not only has the second Netflix Defender gained an official new logo, but so too have producers confirmed an appearance from Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple.
Several spotted the new logo as an interview backdrop at the TCA press tour, after which the show’s official Twitter account obliged eager fans with a closer look at the gritty, street-level logo:
Not only that, but showrunner Melissa Rosenberg confirmed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that Rosario Dawson’s Daredevil character Claire Temple (not Night Nurse, apparently) would pop up somewhere on Jessica Jones. Dawson had earlier been announced to appear in any one of the Defenders series, while Rosenberg offered:
I think I’m allowed to say: Rosario Dawson will be dropping in. Smaller characters that populated that world will be popping in.
So reads Marvel’s AKA Jessica Jones official synopsis:
After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.
In addition to Krysten Ritter in the title role, Marvel’s Jessica Jones also features among its cast Mike Colter as fellow future Defender Luke Cage, Doctor Who favorite David Tennant as the villainous Zebediah Kilgrave, Carrie-Anne Moss as “Harper” and Transformers star Rachael Taylor as Patsy “Hellcat” Walker. Run creatively by Melissa Rosenberg, the series also features in recurring roles Eka Darville as Jessica’s neighbor, Erin Moriarty as a client, and Wil Traval as a police officer.
Marvel’s Jessica Jones will premiere sometime later this year, but what should we expect from the second of Marvel’s Netflix Defenders?
