While it doesn't stock everything the publisher has to offer in print just yet, Kodansha's Manga Box app is now available for free for iOS devices. The app currently offers 13 free titles to read, including spinoffs of popular titles like Attack on Titan and Kindaichi Case Files.

So far the lineup includes the first chapters of:

  • Spoof on Titan by Hajime Isayama and hounori
  • Kindaichi Case Files: Takato's Side by Seimaru Amagi and Fumiya Sato
  • Billion Dogs by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Naoki Serizawa
  • The Great Phrases Women Fall For by Jigoku no Misawa
  • The Knight in the Area by Hiroaki Igano and Kaya Tsukiyama
  • Can't Ride A Bicycle! by Hideki
  • High-rise Invasion by Tsuina Miura and Takahiro Ohba
  • High School Ninja Girl, Otonashi-san by Masami Watanabe
  • District Hakkenshi [code:T-8] by Rando Ayamine, Kentaro, and Saki Kurimoto
  • NadeNadeShikoShiko by Tarako Umeyama
  • Schoolgirl Landlord Honoka by Toshihiko Kobayashi
  • Peephole by Rahson
  • Girl and Car on the Beat by Akata Inubo

More new titles will be added through Monday and beyond, including:

  • The Chronicle of Akoya by Shō Satō
  • My Grandpa's Stories Can't Be This Weird! by Kazuhiro Urata
  • GREEN WORLDZ by Yusuke Osawa
  • ARAIDOKI by Yusuke Hashimoto
  • Man's Bestest Friend by Hiroyuki Tamakoshi
  • Horizon by Takuya Okada
  • First Love Suicide Pact by Yosuke Suzaki
  • Stra the Warlock by Nawoya Iwata
  • In a Heartbeat by Neruko Sugu

The titles include a mix of all-ages and more mature content (think more PG-13 than R, with mostly crude gestures, violence and some sexual content) and features a fairly rudimentary interface that lacks some of the bells and whistles of other comic readers. Those used to navigating Tumblr, Pinterest and other social media sites shouldn't have much trouble reading through content or alternating between titles, though.
