Mecha McMahon: Concept Art By Rich Lyons For A WWE Fighting Game That Never Was
Concept art can be a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it's always fun to see designs for movies and games, even when they never happened, if only to see how things can change and evolve from the initial idea to the final product, especially when they're interpretations of familiar people or characters. On the other hand, sometimes you see concept art for something that never came to be, and you want it to be real so bad you can taste it.
Such is the case for a few pieces by artist Rich Lyons, who recently posted a series of designs he did for a WWE-themed fighting game in 2011 that, in the greatest tragedy that has ever befallen mankind, was never actually produced. And they are amazing. Check below for designs featuring "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, John Cena, and VINCE MCMAHON'S MECH SUIT. For real.
