Perhaps understandably so, the first trailer for Disney’s Moana was a bit more preoccupied with Maui, the jovial demigod character voiced by Dwayne Johnson. What can we say? The Rock is an instant selling point, even when we’re only hearing his voice. But the international trailer puts the spotlight on the titular hero, seen here in the opening scene as a cute little toddler who discovers that she has a rather magical connection to the ocean.

The latest trailer for Moana is absolutely lovely — and not just because baby Moana is so dang adorable. As you can see, Moana possesses a deep bond with the ocean and appears to have the ability to control the water to an extent. That beautiful sequence makes up the majority of the trailer before it jumps ahead to Moana as a teenager, still clutching the seashell she found when she was little. If this makes you feel nothing, you may very well be dead inside.

Moana was directed by Ron Clements and John Musker (The Little Mermaid) from a script by Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), Jared Bush (Zootopia) and sitcom writer Pamela Ribon. Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda contributed original music for the film, which is described as follows:

In the ancient South Pacific world of Oceania, Moana, a born navigator, sets sail in search of a fabled island. During her incredible journey, she teams up with her hero, the legendary demi-god Maui, to traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous sea creatures, breathtaking underworlds and ancient folklore.

Moana also features the voices of newcomer Auli'i Cravalho, Alan Tudyk and Hamilton star Phillipa Soo, and hits theaters on November 23.
