NBC’s take on DC comedy will make us all Powerless within a week’s time, so you might as well enjoy the first clips. Not only does LexCorp get numerous shoutouts, but Bruce Wayne himself puts in an appearance … over the phone.

Ahead of next Thursday’s premiere, NBC released a first round of clips from its new DC comedy, as Emily (Vanessa Hudgens) tries to turn around the lackadaisical workers of Wayne Security from their defeatist attitude on LexCorp. Of course, Powerless wouldn’t be Powerless without the requisite Bruce Wayne reference, as cousin Van (Alan Tudyk) takes a call from his famous family.

While we wait, so reads the full synopsis:

In a world where humanity must cope with the collateral damage of Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) begins her first day as Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises that specializes in products that make defenseless bystanders feel a little safer. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her expectations far exceed those of her new boss (Alan Tudyk) and officemates, so it will be up to her to lead the team toward their full potential and the realization that you don’t need superpowers to be a hero.

Firefly favorite and Rogue One star Alan Tudyk will play Van Wayne, Emily (Vanessa Hudgens)’s superior, while Community alum Danny Pudi will play Teddy, Emily’s best work friend, trusted confidante and office prankster. Christina Kirk will play Jackie, superhero fan and assistant to Tudyk, along with comedian Ron Funches as Ron, and Kate Miccuci and Josh Fadem as Wendy and Marvin Harris.

The February 2 premiere is fast approaching, so check out the Powerless trailers below.
