Even though "Firefly" died a premature death on the Fox Network, the show has lived on in the form of Joss Whedon's "Serenity" movie and the occasional comic book from Dark Horse. Now you can add another platform for the continued existence of "Firefly" - none other than this highly detailed and insanely badass scaled replica of the Serenity spaceship.

Produced by Sideshow Collectibles, the prop piece - dubbed "Serenity – The Big Damn Replica" - measures in at a walloping 19" x 12" x 7", with 4.5" added from the display stand. Other features include handpainted logos and markings as opposed to stickered decals; a wireless remote that activates various lights aboard Serenity though tragically does not enable flying; a special signature from none other than Mal Reynolds himself, Nathan Fillion; among many other cool perks.

Of course, there are a few downsides. There are only 1,000 pieces offered, and it costs almost $3,000 to snag one. On top of that, you've got to commit a minimum deposit of $540 at the time of purchase. If you've got money to burn, then you'll definitely want to chase down The Big Damn Replica pretty damn quick. If you don't have the money, maybe it's time to cozy up to your sugar daddy or mama and see if you can woo a combined Christmas-Hannukah-Birthday-Graduation-Whatever present out of them.

Or, in the spirit of "Firefly," you could always track down one of Sideshow's warehouse and liberate the whole collection of replicas. Not that I'm endorsing such misbehavior.
